What are the most commonly used fish handling utensils? Both in the industrial and in the retail trade there are three tools that become essential in the processing of this food: the peeler, the spine remover and the fish peeler.

At Reysan Atlantic ® you will find several models of these machines intended for use in the food industry in our fish processing category. We explain all our options in detail:

1. The fish shucking machine

The scaler is a tool for the fast and efficient removal of fish scales. There are two types, the manual machine and the electric one, which due to its capacity is the one normally used in the industry.

Reysan Atlantic ® has developed an electric scaler designed for continuous use with an "extra" type of spindle for large scales.

It stands out because the shaft has a quadruple protection, with two layers of steel, one of insulating compound and the other of plastic (safety against water splashes). In addition, the ball bearings in the scaling head are waterproof and all external parts are stainless.

You can buy the fish scaler of Reysan Atlantic ® here.

2. Herringbone remover

The electric spine remover is ideal for fishmongers, as it easily removes the spines from fish fillets such as salmon and trout.

How to use the spine remover? It is important that the fish is out of the rigor mortis phase, something that will facilitate this work of extraction of bones. In order to remove them, one should move forward and backwards against the row of bones with a light pressure, depending on the firmness of the fillet.

3. Fish skinner

Fish cleaners are developed to remove the skin from the food continuously, so they are commonly used in the fishing industry.

We have manual peelers, such as our manual peeler model 460, the 362 peeler and the 365 peeler with two types of shoe available: blind shoe (for plaice, stripes, manta ray wings and others) and blade shoe (bream, carp, grouper, perch, salmon, snapper, squid, Tilapia and others).
