Tomorrow, October 19, marks the World Breast Cancer Day, one of the most prevalent and deadly diseases among women worldwide. It is important to remember that it is crucial to promote access to early diagnoses, regular check-ups, and effective treatments for all women, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Early detection and proper treatment can make the difference between life and death.
For this reason, and as we do every year, at Reysan Atlantic, we join this fight. We want to contribute to this cause by donating 3% of today's sales, October 18, to support breast cancer research and patient support, with the aim of improving the outlook for those facing this disease.
Breast cancer in numbers
- It is estimated that by the end of 2024, approximately 36,000 new cases of breast cancer will have been diagnosed in Spain.

- The age group with the highest incidence is between 45 and 65 years old, although an increase has been observed in women under 45 years old.
- It remains the leading cause of cancer death among women in Spain, with approximately 6,500 annual deaths.
- Thanks to advances in research and more effective treatments, the survival rate in the last 5 years has improved significantly, reaching 86%.
Advances and the importance of prevention
In recent years, significant advances have been made in breast cancer research and treatment. Early detection is key to improving prognosis and treatment options. Awareness campaigns and screening programs have allowed for more cases to be identified at earlier stages, enabling more effective and less invasive interventions.
Prevention is essential in the fight against this disease. Adopting a healthy lifestyle (balanced diet, regular exercise, and avoiding alcohol, tobacco, and other toxic substances) reduces the risk of developing breast cancer. Regular medical check-ups and breast self-examination are valuable tools for early detection.
Despite the challenges, there are reasons to be optimistic. Advances in research, more effective treatments, and growing awareness are improving the outlook. Every day, thousands of women demonstrate extraordinary strength and resilience in their fight against breast cancer.
At Reysan Atlantic, we want to convey a message of hope and determination. Every action counts, and every gesture of support makes a difference.
